Roland Peter Venturoli

“Our handyman has left the building”. Roland passed away peacefully in his 78th year after a hard fought battle with cancer. Born to the late Salvatore(Peter) and Amalia Venturoli, Roland was predeceased by older sister Mary, and survived by loving sister Hilda. Beloved husband of Priscilla, father to Dean (Dorothy), Cindy (Domenic), James and David. Loving Poppa who will be sadly missed by grandchildren Mikayla, Ally, Maegan, Tyler and Avery. He will be missed by his cat Angel very much.

Roland worked at Stelco Parkdale Works for many years and had a great group of friends from there as well as his childhood that he remained close to until the very end. He leaves behind much family here and in the USA. The past months were that much easier because of the help and support of his many friends and neighbours…Les, Paul, Tony and Jim; thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Rollie as he was fondly known was always the first to offer his tools or help, and his handiwork remains in many of our homes now and for years to come.We love you and will miss you lots and lots.

We will be holding a celebration of his life on Monday July 28th at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) from 6-9 pm, cremation will have taken place in advance. In lieu of flowers if you prefer you can make a donation to the SPCA as Roland loved his animals.
