Russell Ross

Peacefully passed away at St Peters Hospital on May 23, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Mary for more than 60 years. Cherished father of Lori Current (Rob). Loving Papa of Kacie and Kyle. He will forever live on in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Russ was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a devoted parishioner of St Eugene’s Parish for 57 years. After 60 years at the YMCA many people have touched his life as he has theirs. A dedicated and hardworking man with over 40 years of service at Dofasco. Thank you to the Drs Nurses and Staff at St Peters Hospital for your care. A heartfelt thank you to dear friend John Hainie for your friendship, kindness and compassion shown to our family during this difficult time. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers on Tuesday at 8:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Eugene’s Church (Parkdale at Queenston Road) on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10am. Interment in Holy Sepuchre Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to a Childrens Charity close to your own heart or St Eugenes Church would be appreciated.
