She was predeceased by her husband of over 75 years, Robert Hughes, and her son-in-law Philip. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Shelley and Alex (Margaret), her cherished grandchildren, Heather (Jamie), and her great-grandson, Zachary.
Ruth was a talented drapery seamstress, working for many years at Fountains of Burlington. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting, and was an avid reader. Ruth also enjoyed camping with the National Campers and Hikers Association, traveling across the United States and Canada with her family. Known for her remarkable storytelling, Ruth always had a captivating story to share.
