Sharon "Bunnie" Rogers

Bunnie was a caring, loving, generous mother to her two children, Wendy (John), Brett (Jamie) and grandchildren Matthew, Scott, Bayley, Trenton, Brock and step grandkids, Steven, and Mackenzie. She was a cherished wife to her late husband, our dad, Bob. Family was very important to Bunnie who would do anything for her them and made everyone feel loved and special and enjoyed family gatherings. Bunnie lived life to the fullest. She had a long career in the banking field, followed by owning and operating three video stores until she eventually retired and sold the businesses to spend more time with grandchildren and to travel. She and dad spent winters in Myrtle Beach joined by their family on March Breaks. Other times, she loved to cruise the Caribbean and we are so happy to have been able to join her and dad on many vacations. She absolutely loved animals, no matter what kind and supported several animal charities and fed local birds and squirrels daily. If you needed a pet sitter, you always knew who to ask.

If there was a party, she wanted to be part of it. Bunnie loved music and entertaining. Many a Christmas Eve open houses were had in her home when her family was young. Lots of summertime BBQ’s and fun was to be had. In her spare time, she would spend a lot of time outside in her garden, which she always had a beautiful property. Bunnie was famous for her delicious homemade relish and chili sauce. Rest assured we will keep on with her tradition. Loving wife, mom and friend….this was Bunnie. She, along with her sense of humour and compassion, will be deeply missed. We would like to extend our appreciation to the health care team at St. Joseph’s, Mary-Grace wing, 4th floor, for their care. We are welcoming friends and family to a drop-in Celebration of Life reception on Saturday January 21st, 2023 from 2-5 pm at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave, East, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sharon’s memory may be made to Hobbitsee Wildlife Refuge: www.hobbitsee.com
