It is with great sadness that the family of Sophie announce her passing at the Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the age of 76. Dear wife of the late Edward. Loving mother of Kim Wheaton (Colin). Sister of John Ogrodnik (Kathryn) and Stan Ogrodnik (Diane). Special companion of Chris German. She is predeceased by her parents and extended family. Sophie will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Marcellus, nurse Shannon and staff of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre for their exceptional care. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm where the Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11am. Donations in Sophie’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
