Our sincere appreciation to Dr. Khera and the staff at Macassa on C1E. Many thanks also to the Doctors, Nurses and staff on the Stroke Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital, the Satellite Facility and the LHIN. Your care and concern gave us Steve for a little while longer.
Over his life-time, Steve was an entrepreneur, butcher and brakeman and freight conductor on the T H & B Railway. He never shirked hard work and tackled manual labour with enthusiasm; an honest day’s work brought him great satisfaction.
Steve enjoyed tending his garden, playing Slo-pitch in the Old-Timers’ League and was an avid curler at Mount Hope. He took pleasure in travelling to varied destinations, but he treasured his time spent renovating and maintaining his cottages at Long Point.
Steve lived a full life with self-confidence, drive and resilience. He leaves an indelible imprint on the lives that he touched and will be missed.
