After a long courageous battle passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on May 14, 2016 at the age of 62. Cherished husband of Wendy for 40 years. Loving father of Christine Fox and her husband Patrick, and Norman Manning and his wife Aleta. Steve loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world, left behind to miss their devoted Papa are Zeke, Jack and Devon. He will forever live on in the hearts of his brother Charlie and sister Norma Pearson, many nieces, nephews, extended family and truly magnificent friends. A dedicated and hardworking employee at Dofasco with more than 37 years of service. Steve was a social man, coming to work at Dignity Memorial for more than 6 years. Memorial visitation will be held at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday May 26 2016 from 1pm until time of Celebration of Steve’s Life in the Chapel at 3pm. Cremation has taken place. At Papa’s request, In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides - Autism Assistance Program – Oakville Chapter would be appreciated.
