Stewart Hathaway

Sadly we announce the passing of our brother on January 31, 2014 in his 67th year. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary. Much loved brother of Gary (Christine), Reba (Art), Ruth Anne (Don) and Chris (Jennifer). Loved and missed by his many nephews and nieces and their families. Sadly missed by his best friends Fabio (Adeline) and Sandra Tirimacco. Stewart was a retired employee of Stelco with over 30 years of service. He had two great loves in his life, one was walking anywhere he needed to go and math he enjoyed tutoring students who needed assistance. He always took the opportunity to assist others and was a kind and simple soul. His passing will leave an emptiness and sadness in everyone who knew him. Visitation will take place at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Stewart's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated by the family.
