Stienna Janita Thomas (nee Kok)

Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday September 6, 2021, in her 80th year. Survived by children Kerry (Bob) and Gregg (Lynn), grandchildren Nicholas (Jessica), Alyssa, Stefanie and Sarah, sister Joanna (Bill), and brother Billy (Maureen). Stienna will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in England and The Netherlands. Pre-deceased by parents Josephine and Jan Kok, brothers Nanno and Joseph, and daughter Lisa. Thank you to all the staff of 8W and 8S wards for all their kindness and care. Due to Covid-19, all visitations and funerals are restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Public Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday September 12, 2021 from 1-3pm. A Private Memorial Service to celebrate Stienna’s life will be held at 3pm. Please RSVP in advance for the service by calling 905-547-1121.
