Suzanna Elisabeth Abma

It is with great sadness that the family of Suzanna announces her passing on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 83. Susan was born in Holland, and came to Canada in 1963.

She was the devoted wife of Stewart (predeceased) and cherished mother of Irene (Noel) and Robert (Michelle). She will be missed by her stepchildren Donald (Sandy), Henry (Lilia), Hetty, Jennifer (Rod) and Annette (Jeffery). She was also the proud Oma of 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Susan is survived by her brother Bram and predeceased by her sister Anneke. Susan will be missed by her many friends and family in both Canada and the Netherlands.

Our family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Brantford General Hospital and the Seasons Retirement Community in Brantford for their support and compassion during this difficult time.

Family and Friends will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Thursday, April 3rd from 4 – 8 p.m. A Celebration of Susan’s life will take place in the Cresmount Chapel on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at 11am. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
