He is predeceased by his beloved wife Niki Sarvos (nee Pappas). He leaves behind his children Peter (Catherine) Sarvos, Christine, Mary (Steve) Martin, and grandchildren Daniel (Jessica) Sarvos, Matthew (Brittany) Sarvos, Steven Sarvos, Justin (Kim) Sarvos, Kaitlin (Douglas) Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Megan (Adrian) Martin, Joseph Martin, and great-grandchildren Audrey, Oliver, Sloane, and Duke. Tom was born on December 28, 1933 in Kato Klines, Florina Greece. He is predeceased by his parents Dimitri Servos and Christine Servos, sister Anna Economedes, brother Theodore (Ted) Servos, sister Magdalene Mangos, and sister Maria Niclis. He will be sadly missed by many family members and friends in Canada, Greece, and Australia.
Tom arrived in Canada as a young teenager in the 1950s and met and married his wife Niki after a brief engagement in September 1956. Their marriage lasted 64 years until the passing of his devoted wife Niki, in November 2020. Tom worked very hard to achieve his goal of owning his own restaurant, The Village Inn Steakhouse. He instilled a strong work ethic into his children, Peter, Christine, and Mary. In addition to a strong work ethic he raised his children to treat everyone kindly, and to be good to all. Tom's greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Family was everything to him.
After suffering a stroke in 2017 as well as dealing with Alzheimer's disease, Tom settled into Macassa Lodge Long-term Care Home where he resided for almost five years. The family is extremely grateful for the incredible level of care they provided him. It is not work they do, it is love they give.
