Valentino Pascucci

After a courageous battle with Leukemia, Valentino peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday September 13, 2013 at the age of 82. Reunited with his parents Demetrio and Rosa, sisters Ilde and Giacomina. Loving husband of Pierina (nee Settimi) for more than 52 years. Cherished daddy to Patricia Ferrari (John), Ilde Pascucci (Dan Illes) and Caterina Traini (Chris). Devoted nonno to Matthew, Daniel, Nathan and Joshua. Dear brother of Tilde Pascucci (the late Mario). Will forever live on in the hearts of his brother in laws and sister in laws; Frank Settimi (Delia), the late Mario Settimi (Maria), Roger Settimi (Annie), Ottavio Settimi (Vincenza), Maria Cesarini (Emilio) all of Hamilton, and Laura Latini (Gino) and the late Giuseppe Settimi (Rita) of Italy. He will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends in Italy and Canada. A heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Hamilton General and Juravinski Hospitals for the kindness compassion and wonderful care of Valentino. To the neighbours and friends who were there to support the family and Valentino over the years, the friendship and love you have shown to us all makes you feel as part of our family, thank you so very much. Valentino retired after more than 32 years at Dofasco but his work never stopped. He was a jack of all trades, a hand to anyone that needed it and an avid gardener as well. His fresh vegetables were the best, his garage was packed more than a Canadian Tire, but most of all generosity and his willingness to help everyone and anyone in their time of need will never be forgotten. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-5pm, Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 5pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Juravinski Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
