On September 21, 2022, surrounded by her husband and her kids at her side, God called Valerie Sharufa Kaponda home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, niece and friend to all. Valerie carried selfless love throughout her entire life. She gave back to her family/community with anything she had and never asked for anything in return. She was an inspiration to many, a brave warrior who was always willing to overcome any obstacles. She showed so much courage and resilience through her journey and never once complained about her circumstances. Valerie was and still is a true definition of a prayer warrior.
Ephesians 4:31-32 verse says “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” This Bible verse is a living example of Valerie. To everyone that wrong her she welcomed them with open arms, love & forgave them.
May her soul rest in Heaven, she will truly be missed by many.
