Dear Nicole,Ashley, Steve & Josh,
I am so sorry for the love of your wonderful husband and amazing Dad and Grandpa.
You were wonderful nieghbours, Tiffany (friend of Ashley), Jamie(friend to Steve) and Josh buddy you had to deal with them all.
When I think of Vaughn I think of a beer in his hand sitting out back by the pool laughing and having fun with the kids or adults. Vaughn I remember you helping Jamie learn not to be afraid of water. Nicole you were a wonderful friend and always there for everyone.
Vaughn you were a wonderful family man, whenever someone needed help you were there to lend a hand and help any of your friends. You always had a smile on your face and Nicole on your arm with a smile. I remember calling you the "gentle giant". Know that you will never be forgotten and greatly missed. Love, thoughts and prayers are with you all and your family. (((((HUGS)))))

Growing up through my childhood, Vaughn,s Mother & My mother were sisters, and our homes were close enough to walk from house to house by ourselves that my memories are of having not just my 3 brothers, but of having additional brothers and sister, that was an extension of our family. Vaughn &Calvin were the youngest and was always playing , running in and out of each others houses. Mom always had some date squares/cookies that we all enjoyed. I can remember pushing him on the swing and him wanting to go higher!
He will always be remembered as part of our family!

I spent many nights with Vaughn back in the late 60s when he was an operator for CN, then was lucky enough to bowl with him for years in a league at Skyway Bowl. Truely a great guy, kind to everyone, and fun to be around. I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Well Vaughn, what to say. Hard to believe it's been 13 years since we met in your backyard, with the gang and a beer - how appropriate is that? So many wonderful memories as our two families became one. Thank you so much for welcoming Jessie into your home and loving her as one of your own. We'll miss the fun times in Vegas and Florida, the shared bourbon, playing silly games, the backyard shenanigans and the laughter and joy. Rest easy and know that you will forever be fondly remembered as the kind and generous man we were fortunate to call our good friend.

Vaughn - man were we ever lucky to know and love you.
Thank you for being the most generous and welcoming father-in-law to me; an always reliable ‘grandpaw’ to Mav; such a proud and loving Papa to Mags (you big, gooey softie); and simply the very best dad and role model in the world to Steve.
Memories with you are always coloured with the good humour you brought to every gathering, and it was such a badge of honour to catch you off guard with a good dig and earn one of your signature big chuckles (even if it took saying things a few times for you to be able to hear me). We’ll think of you every time we nab great seats for a Jays game, get stuck in the rain at a bar on the beach, go for a beer and some good wings with friends, and make light-hearted accusations of cheating during a rowdy game night (‘dickhead’!).
I promise to keep the fridge stocked with some easy drinking domestic brews (and not just “that weird craft stuff”) so we’re always ready to raise a bottle to you and smile.
Miss and love you lots - Jess, Steve, and Maggie xoxo

Dear Nicole, Ashley, Steven, Josh and family-We are so very sorry for your (our) loss. We love Vaughn as our family too. The gang will miss him immensely. We have so many fantastic memories-travelling, nights around the table laughing, having a group chat with Vaughn while he was out chasing trains. We found this picture of the boys in 2015 that we love. It’s been over 20 years since we went to that BMO Christmas party, introduced our hubbies and became friends forever. Vaughan will always be in our hearts, Laurie and Paul

Vaughn...this is my quarter.
No one ever sang the song
"Oh my Darling" as good as you!
I'll forever miss hearing those phone calls from you that always started out with your
" Helloooo". Dave and I will forever miss you, little brother. We'll love you always.

Vaughn was always there to help a friend. He was there to share a coffee with baileys (is there any other way to drink coffee) or a cold beer on a hot afternoon. He was a great travel companion. We will miss our friend.
