PAGE, Velma Jean (nee Kelso) Passed away peacefully, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Friday, June 22, 2012, in her 82nd year. Survived and lovingly remembered by her husband George of 61 years. She will be dearly missed by her children Neil, David (Mary Beth), Diane Reidy (Bill), Brian (Becky), as well as ten grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Smith. Velma was a 52 year member of Burkholder United Church, UCW, Calorie Counters and a retired employee of Dutler Textiles. She was an expert seamstress, avid gardener and plant doctor and made the best butter tarts and hermit cookies. Special thanks for the extraordinary care and compassion provided by Dr. Adrian Hornich, Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice staff and many friends, family and neighbours who brightened her day with a card, visit, e-mail or phone call. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Burkholder United Church, 465 Mohawk Road East, on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Donations in Velma's memory may be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
