Dad;
2010 is leaving us as you have. Although the memories will not ever leave and for them I am grateful.  So many road trips me so anxious to get their "dad, are we there yet?"  "No Sheila, we're not there and don't ask again."  five mins. later "dad are we there yet?"  
The times you'd take us to Hidden Valley just to play in the creek and hunt for whatever intrigued us.  And let's not forget about Copetown with us all piled in the car or truck. 
As children with 3 of us in the tub mom would scrub and you would dry us.  
The look in your eyes when I'd ask you to pick Michael up from daycare and the look in his eyes when he'd see you.  The connection the two of you had with unspoken words was very special to me and for Michael. You were always there for him with your hugs and strength that he drew from and still does.  
You were and always will be a man that I will always be eternally grateful for having in my life.  The effort, endurance and tenacity of everyday getting up for work to care for all of us makes me proud to say your my dad. 
Thank you from the deepest part of my soul.  Please continue to guide us with your strength and R.I.P.
