Voula (Paraskevie) Rachiotis

Loving wife of Socrates for 50 years. Cherished mother of George (Vanessa) and Panagiota (Jamie) and beloved Yiayia (grandmother) to Victoria, Juliana, Karissa and Angela. Predeceased by her siblings Elisabeth, Konstantinos (Gus), Efthemios and Panagiota. Born and raised in Kipourio, Greece and came to Canada for a better life and to support her family in 1972. She will always be remembered for her kindness, humble nature, and unwavering love of her family. She was a devoted grandmother who did everything she could to help raise her grandkids. Known for her generosity and exceptional culinary skills, Voula would often make and share food with others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 5-9pm. Prayers at 6pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22 Head Street, Hamilton on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11am. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
