After a courageous 11 year battle with ALS, comforted at his home surrounded by family & friends, Wayne passed on July 22, 2019 in his 64th year. Beloved son to Abigail and the late Edward. Loving father to Adam (Kate) and grandfather to Connor, Tyler and Jack. Dear brother to Dennis (Janette) and uncle to Ted (Lisa) and Katie (Ryan) and great uncle to Lydia and Alice. He will be missed by his best friend Mac and also by his four legged friend Lola.
A heartfelt thank you to Doctors Turnbull, Gunning and Carter and his MAiD team, the wonderful nurses & PSW's from Able Living and Bayshore and to the fantastic staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their exceptional care and support, assisting and respecting Wayne's final wishes.
His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Wayne's Life will take place on Friday, July 26th at 11 a.m. in the chapel followed by interment in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. If desired, donations to ALS Canada would be greatly appreciated by his family.
