Zofia Tettmer

It is with great sadness that the family of Zofia Tettmer announces her peaceful passing at the Henderson Hospital on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her loving husband John (Jan) Tettmer. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Donna and Paul Panchezak. Zofia is also predeceased by her parents and siblings in her birthplace of Krasnystaw, Poland. Zofia immigrated to Hamilton as a veteran after WWII (1947) and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #315 and a member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Stanislaus Church. She also was a retired employee of Domglass. Zofia was a gracious lady whose generous heart touched all those who knew her. Visiting will be held at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. East on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Church on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Many thanks for the compassionate care from the staff at Arbour Creek Long Term Care (Nash House) in her final years as well as her family Doctor, Dr. Jaskot and more recently, Dr. Sethi and nursing staff at Henderson Hospital. In Zofia’s memory donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
