Marjorie "Margie" Ann Seider

Marjorie Ann Seider passed July 12, 2018, at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Services will be held July 15, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton with burial following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Aleman. Margie was born December 4, 1942, on the family farm in Aleman, the daughter of Henry and Meta Wenzel. She was baptized December 27, 1942, and confirmed June 9, 1957, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She married Charles E. Seider on January 12, 1963, and moved to the Texas Panhandle to start their family. Charles was tragically killed on March 19, 1977, leaving Margie a single mother with three (3) young children to raise. While in Gruver, the family attended Oslo Lutheran Church. In 1980 she returned to Hamilton to be closer to family, where she was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Margie supported her family by working in school cafeterias, the Gruver Public Library, and eventually retiring from the Hamilton County Appraisal Office in 2012 after 30 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Earl Wenzel, brother-in-law Osteen Pflueger, sister-in-law Wyvonne Wenzel, and nephew Cecil Wenzel. Survivors include daughter, Lisa Durant, and husband Lee of Weatherford; son, Everett Seider of Dublin; daughter, Kristi Wagner, and husband Darrell of Hamilton. Six grandchildren, Rylee and Bryce Durant, Kason and Kameron Seider, Reagan and Henlee Wagner, brother H.C. Wenzel, sister Ethel Pflueger, sisters-in-law Dorothy Schoedel and Lenora Lanmon, along with many nieces and nephews she loved as her own. Pallbearers are Rickey Wenzel, Larry Ashby, Rick McFalls, Bruce Pflueger, Darvin Pflueger, and Ryan McFalls. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. John Lutheran Youth of Hamilton, Texas; Faith Lutheran Youth (FLY) of Stephenville, Texas; or the Hamilton Athletic Activity Fund benefitting the girls basketball program.
