An avid deer and fox hunter, he found great joy in raising and training hunting dogs and was always ready to share stories of his hunting adventures with family and friends. Craig served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany and Vietnam.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Ammon Shingleton; his mother, Irene Costner Shingleton; and his sister, Linda Priscilla Shingleton Beach.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Williams Shingleton; his sister, Nadine Millis; and his brother, Grayling Shingleton, all of Hampstead. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Rusty (Tricia) and Renee (Rick). Craig was a proud "Paw Paw" to his four grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Christin, and Harlie, and was blessed with five great-grandchildren.
Craig will be missed by his family as well as his friends and hunting buddies too numerous to mention.
Services will be at Andrews Mortuary, Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Hwy 17 N, Hampstead, Saturday, October 10th. Visitation will be at 2 pm followed by a Celebration of life service at 3 pm presided over by Rev. Danny Justice.
