Johnny was born in Wilmington, June 19, 1951, the son of Billy and Ann Davis.
He worked at Southern Bell/AT&T for over 30 years. He retired in Surf City and spent a lot of his time on the water, fishing and enjoying the sunrises and sunsets along our beautiful coastline.
He is survived by his wife Debbye Davis for over 50 years, his sister Libby Mergenthaler & her husband Tony; his nephew; Michael King &
Wife Jenny; his nephew Josh Davis & wife Heather & his mother Jo; his great nieces, Izzy & Oona.
He is joining a line of family members and friends in heaven; Skinny, Ann, Buddy, Isabel, Jackie and several close friends we have lost recently.
A special thanks to our neighbors, friends, co-workers and most of all our family.
Johnny, a part of us went with you on Sunday, but you were called home and I know you will always be at my side.
In keeping with Johnny’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service.
