

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Earp (Giacone), his parents Jutson and Enita (Convey) Earp, his sister Patricia and brothers James, Robert and William.
Tom is survived by his four loving sons, Thomas Earp Jr. and wife Bobbi of Franklinton, NC, Michael Earp of Wappingers Falls, NY, Kenneth Earp and wife Anna of Surf City, NC, and Christopher Earp and wife Reetu of Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan, Desarae and Katelyn; brother, David Earp of Wilmington, NC; cousin Tim Earp of Niagara Falls, NY, Sister in laws Charlotte Earp (Hampstead NC) and Shirley Earp (Saltville VA), along with many cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Tom was born on January 11, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY.
Tom attended trade high school and learned welding. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy for 4 years and continued as a ship welder. After his time in the service, he joined Local Union 543, which is now Local 21, and worked as a steamfitter and welder. He retired from the union in 2003 with 36 years of working service and had 56 years of total membership. In addition, Tom also served part-time as a deputy sheriff for Dutchess County, NY, in the 1970’s.
Tom was an avid golfer and loved traveling to see and spend time with family and friends. Always active and working on home projects, he found joy assisting others who needed a helping hand. Once settled in for the day, you could find him telling many stories of his childhood and life experience. These stories are cherished by the entire family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, May 8, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel with burial to follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
