

Faye, the most loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry. She leaves behind her husband, Charles; sisters-in-law, Helen and Janette; daughter, Penny; son, Tony; step-daughter, Jamia; grandchildren, Daniel, Amber, Michelle, Patrick, and Obinna; great-grandchildren, Logan and Nathaniel.
She graduated from Windsor High School in 1960 and moved to Virginia in 1961, where she studied at Thomas Nelson Community College and Christopher Newport University. Faye married her husband, Charles Capehart, in February 1990. She worked at and retired from the United States Postal Service after 33 years and went on to sell Avon for 10 years.
Faye was a generous, kind, and caring person who valued her relationship with God, and loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorite things included reading her Bible or a good book, learning about history, cooking a delicious meal, and watching basketball. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially cruising around the Caribbean. Her family and many friends will always remember her as someone they could rely on and learn from. She lived her life in service of Jesus Christ and always attempted to embody that love to others.
The family will receive family and friends Monday, July 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Bethel Temple Church with a reception immediately afterward, followed by interment at 2:00 PM at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
