Anthony Paul Silvia

Anthony Paul Silvia 92, peacefully passed at home surrounded by family on November 29, 2023. Anthony was born in Middleboro, MA on October 11, 1931. He has been a resident of Hampton Roads for 54 years. He served as an MP in the Army in the early 50's. After service in the Army, he continued his career in the National Marine Fisheries Division of NOAA and retired in 1995. He enjoyed sitting on the porch smoking his pipe. Anthony loved to go bowling, playing BINGO, traveling to different casinos, and he always enjoyed spending time with family.

Anthony is survived by his 2 children Maria Spivey and husband Tony and son Michael Silvia and wife Susan. He has 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Anne M. Princigalli, his parents Antonio and Mary (Cravalla) Silvia, Brother Manuel, and 2 sisters Mary, and Emily.

A public visitation for Anthony will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666. After, a Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Following is a Burial with Military Honors held at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
