Audrey Wilson Dyer

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ralph B. Dyer; her sister, Bethany Wilson Turner; and her brother, Marshall Sterling Wilson. Survivors include her daughters, Victoria Dyer, Susan Dyer Swartzendruber (James), and Bethany Dyer Halpin (Robert); brother, Vernon W. Wilson; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Audrey attended Hampton High School where she was a cheerleader, and after graduation worked at Langley Air Force Base. She met her husband, Ralph, on a blind date at the Chamberlain Hotel. Audrey and Ralph enjoyed traveling, golfing, nature walking and family vacations at Buckroe Beach. She was a member of the Hampton D.A.R. and an avid bridge player.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all the staff of the Mennowood Retirement Community for the loving care she received in her final years.

Services will be private, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
