Barbara Beaumont Cockburn, aged 94, died on Monday, August 5, 2019. She was born in Jamestown, NY, but has made Virginia her home since 1950.

She was well respected as a school teacher and taught in the Richmond Public Schools from 1962 to 1978 and the Hampton Public Schools from 1978 to 1990, when she retired from Bethel High School.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cockburn, a daughter, Cynthia J Eudailey, and a son John R. Anderson, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia L. McCrickard (Don), of York County; a granddaughter, Heather Bosnyak (Chris) of Mechanicsburg, PA; a grandson, Christopher J. Anderson (Nicholle) of Richmond, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Cassandra Patricia Anderson and Christopher Blake Anderson.
