Beatrice (Bea) Sullivan born on April 14, 1932, to Olivia and George Owens in New London Connecticut. Known as 'Nannie' to many, passed through the Heavenly Gates on September 10, 2026, at the age of 94.
Nannie retired from Maida Development Co. and 'Someplace Like Home'. Nannie is survived by her 3 children, Patty Sullivan Throckmorton, Edward Sullivan, & Cathy Sullivan Sturgis (Matthew Smith). Grandmother to Lisa Parrish, Robert Parrish, Justin Sturgis, Lyndsey Sturgis Pittock (Josh Pittock) and Nicholas Sullivan. Bonus granddaughter Ella Sturgis and her Stevie Sturgis in whom she found great joy! Her great grandchildren, Arabelle Sturgis, Trace Lewis, Cameron Price (Casey), Cody Parrish (Michaela), Brayden Deel (Mateya), Alyssa Deel (John), Trey Parrish, Skyler Parrish, and Brice Parrish.
She was a long-time member of Warwick Assembly of God on Todds Lane where she enjoyed her jelly donuts from the coffee shop on Sunday mornings to playing bingo and time spent with friends. Her shopping trips to the outlet mall or Sam’s Club with Eddie and her weekly trips to Food Lion with Matt were always filled with adventures.
Martha and Peggy, thank you for being the friends you were to our Mom and Rhonda for taking the time out of your Fridays to do her hair! We would also like to say thank you to the group that she traveled with to Lancaster. She had an amazing time.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, at
2PM with a service to follow at 3PM. Both will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum located within the cemetery- 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666.
We are asking, if possible, wear something purple even if it is a T-shirt. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for Donations to Warwick Assembly of God Church, - 1228 Todds Lane, Hampton, VA.
