Benjamine Lloyd Morris, Sr.

Benjamine “Lloyd” Morris, 81, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, in Hampton, Virginia. He was born on March 21, 1937, in Stantonburg, North Carolina. He was the son of the late William “Arthur” and Margaret Jane Morris and widower of Mildred Jean Morris. Upon graduation, he join the United State Air Force, where he served 4 years. He married his High School sweetheart, Mildred Jean Hill, on March 14, 1958. They moved to Hampton, Virginia where they started their love story together as one. Lloyd was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He always had a kind word to say about everyone and was able to make you laugh. He loved spending time with his family, fishing and watching wrestling, NASCAR racing, and westerns on T.V. He retired from L.C. Heath Roofing Company. Lloyd is survived by his children, Sherry Morris, of Hampton, VA, Benny Morris, of Hampton, VA, Robin Powell and her husband Gary, of Hampton, VA, Angel Johnson and her husband Billy Ray, of Loris, South Carolina. Grandchildren: William Morris, Lil Benny Morris, Amy Morris, Hollie Morris, Meghan Morris, Emily Johnson, Logan Morris, Jayla Hill, Gracie Morris, Tyler Powell, Cayla Hill and Peyton Johnson. Great Grandchildren: Alyson, Eithen, Daniel, Mikela, Skylar, Abby, Hope, Faith, Lil Benny, Katerina and Ilaria. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jean Morris, daughters Alecia Morris and Denise Morris, and grandson Raymond Keyser. He will be missed by family, friends, his dog Daisy and anyone who knew him. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Walstonburg Cemetery, in Walstonburg, North Carolina.
