Betty V. Chappell

Betty retired from Verizon Telecommunications, and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed cooking and baking cakes.

Preceding her in rest are her parents, Ruth Elizabeth Jones and Harvey Daniel Busbee; and brothers, Leroy and Rudolph Busbee. Surviving members of her family include her son, Raymond E. Tucker; stepdaughter, Linda Chappell; stepson, Lloyd Chappell, Jr.; grandsons, Christopher O. Tucker, Travis R. Tucker, Spencer C. Tucker; sister, Doris Busbee; brother, Ralph Busbee; and many nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the excellent care given to Betty by Gloucester House.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 1:30 PM, at Parklawn Memorial Mausoleum Chapel in Hampton with Rev. Dr. Phyllis B Milton officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
