Betty "Jean" W. Milton, 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was a native of Silver City, North Carolina and a resident of Newport News for 57 years. Jean retired from Siemens (now Continental Automotive) in 2004 after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Foxhill Community Presbyterian Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Milton; parents Harry and Mable Williamson; and brothers, Jack and Jerry Williamson. She is survived by her son, Darrell Milton (Maribel); daughters, Jenny Connor (Kerry) and Kelley Leggett (Curtis); 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Coco.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service to begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
