

Betty was born March 13, 1942 in Kraftshof, Germany. She was a simple women that grew up in the country side of Germany during WWII. She grew up with little material things, but was a loving and caring woman that was always giving to people in need.
Betty was a self-reliant and independent woman that retired from JC Penny where she worked for 21 years.
She was most proud of her accomplishment of purchasing and owning her own home.
Betty’s biggest joy was her sons and grandkids. She raised two wonderful and grateful sons after losing her husbands. She was able to provide everything needed for her sons who became upstanding and successful men.
Betty was a devoted grandma (Oma) and mother. She will always be loved, cherished and missed by her family that she leaves behind. Son, Allen (Jennifer) Joyner; daughter-in-law, Debbie Birkl; grandchildren, Amanda Joyner, Brandon Joyner, Christopher (Aly) Birkl, Morinda (Edward) Birkl Williams, Jared (Emily) Birkl; and great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister and son, Dieter Birkl.
The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Scott officiating. Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park.
