

Billy “Bo” Scott – 62 died Dec 4, 2023, due to complications of cancer. He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully at home. Bo was born Sept 5, 1962, in Van Nuys California to Sandra Sue Olson Scott and stepfather Wayne Scott. Bo is preceded in death by his Mother Sandra, Stepfather Wayne, Grandfather Leslie Scott and Grandmother Eileen Scott.
Bo graduated from San Dieguito High School Academy in 1980, then attended California State Univ. at Long Beach 1984. He graduated from Columbia Southern University with an MBA in Project Management in 2017.
Bo served in the Army for 22 years and retired in 2006. Bo joined the United States Army and was eventually sent to Ft Eustis and the 10th transportation Brigade 155 Inland Cargo Transfer company. He served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Bo became a recruiter for the NYC recruiting battalion Bear Mt Recruiting Company where he met his wife, Lisa. His last duty station was Hampton Roads Va. He was active in multiple military veterans’ groups.
Bo and Lisa were married for 27 years. They had many wonderful memories, trips, and shared a loving marriage. Together they have two daughters, Taylor-Nicole and her husband Austin and Morgan-Paige and her boyfriend Adam Davis.
Bo was Facilities Director for Colonial Downs and Rosies Gaming Emporium. He enjoyed his role and his team. He was one of the MSF rider coaches at Virginia Peninsula Community College. Bo was an avid gamer and loved riding motorcycles. Bo never met a stranger and had many close friends. He was bigger than life and lit up a room. He will be missed.
Bo leaves behind his loving wife Lisa, their daughters Taylor-Nicole (Austin), and Morgan-Paige (Adam), his Sister Krista Scott Stewart and her husband John Stewart, and their children Kyli, Kody, Kendahl, and Karsyn. A sister-in-law Jennifer Sutton Musumeci (Paul) and their children Abby and Jared. A brother-in-law Jason Michael Sutton (Steph) and their children Alexus, Alyssa, Jayden, Coen, and Kaylyn. Bo’s best friend Jake Bechtel and his wife Martha Bechtel. Bo’s blue and gold macaw Rocky.
Memorial Services were held at Hidenwood Presbyterian Church Newport News Va July 24, 2024. Committal Services were held at Arlington National Cemetery with honors June 4, 2025.
