Keith was a very special close friend to me back in my10th grade year when we both attended Hampton High School. We were both very quiet and I was very shy. I remember he had very long hair, kind eyes and a sweet smile. High school is tough and somehow we lost touch with one another. Even though we completely lost touch with one another he made a lasting impression on me.  Today he crossed my mind for the first time in many years prompting me to see if I could find him on Facebook only to shockingly find out today he was laid to rest. I would like to think he never forgot me either and today as he looked down from a better place and reflected on his life, loved ones and others who made an impression on his life that one of them just happened to be me.
My sincerest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.



Bryant, some would say our marriage failed, but we made our son who is the best of us.
You were my first love, father of our son…You will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, your suffering is over.

My father was a complex man, both naive and wise. He faced his demons daily and managed to still find happiness in simple things. 
I grew up without him by my side but my mother made sure I always knew he loved me as much as he was able. 
When I took an interest in mathematics my mother told me how brilliant my father was in mathematics. She also shared with me that my father also bestowed upon me what his grandma Mae referred to as “good hair."
My father taught me how to play chess…I don't remember anyone ever winning against him.
He taught me how to fish. It is when I am fishing I remember our late night fishing adventures as a young child, happy times... And secret chili dogs at weiner schnitzel. 
Although due to logistical catastrophe I will be unable to attend his celebration of life, I plan to pay my respects to the man who gave me life in my own way.
It is my hope he is welcomed back into the creators loving embrace.

My father would often quote Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"

I have faith that he now sees he was never the darkness that he endured but was always the light that sustained him.

I have faith my father is with his father and free from the trials of this life.
Rest easy, dad, you are so loved and will not be forgotten.

I just happened across the picture and knew those eyes immediately.  I know this fellow as Bryant. He'd come by the church and get coffee or a coke. Sometimes he'd ask if he could sit in the sanctuary "God's Holy House"
He often made me laugh with stories and ideas he came up with. I hadn't seen him in a while, sorry for your loss.
