Buddy "Pa" R. Yeargin

Buddy Ray Yeargin Sr. “Pa” peacefully passed on September 30, 2022. He was born to Jesse and Farrah from Anderson, SC on January 14, 1937. Mr. Yeargin picked up quite a few traits from his father, the main one being a good work ethic, as well as a few hobbies, including fishing and partying. The partying came to a halt when, at 18 years old, he met his wife of 64 years, and in 1955 they started their beautiful family. Mr. Yeargin loved spending time with his friends and family, he loved a good laugh while reminiscing old stories, sharing food on any occasion or celebration, and sitting shirtless. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Betty L. Yeargin; parents, Jesse and Farrah Yeargin; and son, Claude Yeargin. Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Dennis Day Yeargin; kids, Buddy Yeargin Jr., Joni Ratliff, Jackie Blackwell, and Carolyn Morrison; grandkids, Grace Linares, John L. Yeargin, and Michael Morrison; great-grandkids, Skylar Cummings, Ariana Linares, Joseph Linares, and Cecilia Linares. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2022 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park.
