Cayetano was born in Del Rio, Texas on November 26, 1971 to his late parents Felicitas and Victor E. Coronado.
Cayetano grew up in Del Rio, Texas where he played football and graduated from Del Rio High School in 1990. In 1996 he moved to Newport News, Virginia and met his wife Krystal while working Loss Prevention at JCPenney. He always aspired to be in law enforcement. On the same day he married Krystal, May 28, 1997, he became a certified Deputy Sheriff for the Hampton Sheriffs Office. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for 13 years before becoming a correctional officer at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. He served until he was medically retired.
Cayetano was a loving husband, father of five, and grandfather. He was a quiet man whose strengths spoke through his actions more than his words. He carried himself with quiet respect for everyone, earning trust in places where it wasn’t easily given. He was dedicated to providing his children with everything they wanted while also teaching them the value of hard work. His family meant everything to him and he showed his love through quiet dedication and constant support. His steady presence and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Krystal. His children Nicky (JC), Cayetano (Liz), Gabriella (David), Scarlett, and Alejandro. His grandson Augustine. His siblings Debbie (Joe), and Victor (Blanca). As well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the blood bank, as Cayetano was a recipient of many transfusions over the years.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home 2551 N Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA on Friday October 24th from 4pm-7pm. Interment will be Saturday October 25th at 11am at Parklawn Memorial Park.
