Jean Boyd Daugherty, 76, passed away on September 26, 2016. Jean was a native and resident of Hampton. She was a member of Fox Hill Road Baptist Church. Jean traveled extensively during her husband’s military career, but always looked forward to returning to her hometown of Hampton. She was a true friend, loving wife, and mother and a one-of-a-kind grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jean was preceded in rest by her parents, Clara and Felton Boyd. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John; son, John L. (Laurie); daughter, Jennifer McGee (Sonny); grandchildren, Emma, Rebecca, Tanner and Hannah; and brother, Felton E. Boyd, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Parklawn Memorial Park.
