MSgt Jones retired from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. He served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts earning the Bronze Star with oak leaf clusters.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Marcella Cyr Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Coralie Ann Jones Griffith (Richard); two grandchildren, Jeremiah Griffith (Amanda) and William Griffith; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Natalie, Hannah, and Isabella.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 19, at 3:00 pm at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
