My beautiful sister in Christ, fellow missionary and fellow songbird has returned to the womb of our Creator.  I will miss her more than words can ever convey, and I cannot imagine the pain of her loss to you, her husband and best friend Fred, her daughter who grows more like her every day, Cheryl, her adorable grand children, Niles and Nia, and her entire family.  Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences.  May it comfort you to know that love is eternal, and so is life for those who love the Lord. Dear Deacon Holcomb and Family,
I was my pleasure to work with Colethia during my tenure as President of what was then the Division of Women, Baptist General Convention of Virginia.  Kind and caring, always offering just the right encouraging words in the most professional manner.  I thank God for sending her my way.  May His blessings be with you and may precious memories sustain you during this difficult time.

Mrs. Holcomb touched so many lives, especially her students, for which all of us are most thankful. We were so blessed to have had her facilitating our education. May you find comfort in knowing that we, and many, many others, share in your loss of someone so dear to so many.

I want to express my sympathy to Mrs. Holcomb's family, so sorry to hear about her death. She was one of my high school teachers at G.W. Carver High School. I pray God's peace upon the Holcomb family during this difficult time.
