Cynthia was a mother and homemaker and her hobbies included reading, cooking, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.
Cynthia was preceded in rest by her father, Elton "Punch" Tooahnippah Simmons, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Donald S. Walker; son, Christopher Scott-Allen Walker; daughter, Cassidee Cheyenne Simmons; mother, Rexa Lee Hitt; brothers; Larry Allen Simmons and Elton Tooahnippah Simmons, III; and sisters, Kimberly Tooahnippah Wilson, Eltona Vance, and Melinda McCool.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 23 at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Joe Hunt.
