She was born November 22, 1934 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to parents of Oscar Green and Gladys Green where she completed her high school education.
She later moved to Boston Massachusetts where she worked as supervisor for many years. She retired and moved to Hampton Virginia in 2007 where she joined Bethany Methodist Church and became a prominent member of the choir.
Daphne enjoyed singing and traveled to various islands and countries and often invited other dear family members.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Urell Tennant; sisters – Dorothy, Icema and Glenda; devoted nieces Doreen, Marlene and Jennifer; a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives; devoted neighbor and friend Randy Braddock and family.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 14, 2026 from 10-12 PM at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12:00 PM and a committal service at Parklawn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM
