Darlene Henning Oldershaw

Darlene retired from the Hampton VA Medical Center after 30 years with civil service. After retirement she spent over 10,000 hours volunteering at the Sentara Careplex.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Self of Montgomery Alabama; her granddaughter, Darlene Mellen of Yorktown; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Oldershaw; brothers, Elmer, Ralph, Melvin, Lawrence, and Delbert; and sister, Mary.

The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Darlene's life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the funeral home.

The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the Arthritis Foundation in lieu of flowers.
