Darrell was an avid coin collector, as well as a Marlboro merchandise collector.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Patrick H. Bivens; mother, Virginia Gray; brother, Michael J. Bivens.
He is survived by his daughters, April McCoy (Chris) of Hayes, Donna Bivens (Chris Harkins) of Hampton; three grandchildren, Cheyenne McCoy, Christopher McCoy, Makayla Harkins; brother, Jamie Bivens; sister, Judy West (Ricky) of Poquoson; niece, Tiffany West; Nephews, Derrick West and Michael Bivens.
A memorial gathering for Darrell will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
