David William Kelly

Dave was born on February 5th, 1947 to William David and Alice Braithwaite Kelly in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A student at Fairview High School in Fairview Park, OH, he swam, was a boy scout, and excelled at his studies. After high school, he went on to study Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University.

After graduation, Dave worked in computer engineering and network security for RCA, Cape Canaveral, Intergraph, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and as a contractor for the US Navy among others.

Dave loved joking with family and friends, cooking and enjoying delicious food and wine, and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a hobby pilot, had an amateur radio license, traveled extensively, and lived in California, Washington DC, St. Croix, the Bahamas, Florida, and Alabama before coming to Hampton, Va.

He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Hampton, VA Elks Club and gave his time to many of the youth programs there. He cherished the many friends he made there.

Dave was predeceased by his parents Bill and Alice. He is survived by his wife Sin Cha, his brother Bruce (Beth), his children, Sharlet (Charlie), JaNette (Steve) and Jonathan (Melissa), and two grandchildren, Luca and Sage.

No services will take place, as Dave requested, however the family does appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
