

David Raymond Yohn, 60, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018. He was born in France and was a resident of Hampton for 40 years. He held various positions as an automotive mechanic. Dave was raised a Catholic and at times attended Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He will be remembered for his huge heart and always-happy demeanor.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheryl Yohn; sons, Jeffrey Yohn of Austin, Texas and Brian Yohn of Newport News; grandson, John Henry Yohn of Newport News; father, Clarence Yohn of Smithfield; sister, Lorna Aylor of Richmond; brother, Daniel Yohn of Smithfield; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of David’s life will follow at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
Dave spent his entire life in love with the water. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that contributions be made to “Save the (Chesapeake) Bay” at www.cbf.org.
