A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, she was the daughter of the late Carlton A. Baxter and Margaret Rilee; and was also preceded in death by her son Brandon Albertson. She is survived by her son Sheldon Rain Albertson, grandson, Nathan Albertson and her brother Allen Baxter.
Diane retired from Langley Air force Base after over 40 years of service; she was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Hampton where she was baptized 55 years ago. Her ever present smile and positive attitude, even through her yearlong battle with lung cancer, will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 11, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A service remembering Diane's life will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
