Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Lackey Norris and her children, Daughter, Ginny Winebrenner (Guy), and son, Ken Naugle (Connie) and their families.;
His sister, Mary Jane Brittle (Wilson); Daughter, Connie Batchelor (Lew) and Son, Donald F. Norris. Jr. Grandchildren, Andy Norton (Tara), Chelsea Rock, Kristopher Norris, and Kortney Bertrand (Kyle). Great-Grandchildren, Caeden, Dylan & Teagan Norton.
His career spanned over 59 years. At an early age, he worked with his father building deadrise work boats in Deltaville for a short time. Upon leaving Deltaville with his young family, he moved to Richmond to work for Streitmann Biscuit Company. Later relocating to Newport News, he joined the Newport News Police Dept. After leaving the police department he began working for JC Penney in men’s clothing, specializing in men’s suits; which was evidenced by his own attire.

His & Laura’s miniature dachshund, Heidi, a cherished member of the family
Jigsaw puzzles – with untiring patience until he’d completed even the most difficult ones
Golf – he was smiling down when Tiger won this years’ Masters
Maintaining an immaculate yard. He loved working in his yard
NASCAR
Newport News Moose Lodge 1119 – served in many capacities over the years
As was the Norris family reputation, being hard-headed was/is a character trait which has been passed on for many generations, and he held on to that trait until the end, with love.
