Donna Jean Coon Siviter was born February 13, 1960 in Waterbury, CT and had been a Newport News/Hampton resident for the last 42 years. God saw fit to call her home on Saturday, January 12, 2019, as she was surrounded by her family. Donna was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great grandmother who loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna loved and had a relationship with Christ as her Lord and Savior so this is not a goodbye, but see you soon. Some of her favorite things to do were making jewelry, baking, playing bingo, helping in the care of her mother, and spending time with family and friends. Her beautiful smile was contagious and will not be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Coon, stepfather, Federal Mizelle, and her brother, Stanley Coon.
She is survived by her mother, Rosena Mizelle of VA, her daughter, Kelly Vann (Terry) of VA, sons, Michael Siviter of VA and Danny Siviter (Katie) of TN; sister, Deborah Starling (Ricky) of NC; brothers, Steve Coon (Lee), Kenneth Coon (Lisa), Norman Coon (Lora) all of VA; grandchildren, Kala Bunch (Terrance), Alexis Merritt, Dajah Kindred, Justin Kindred, and Rosina Siviter all of VA, great grandchildren Jayce Bunch and Aaliyah Merritt. Best Friends Pamela Gigilo and David Naylor. Many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She will be missed terribly by all that knew her.
A celebration of life will be on February 2, 2019 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church Newport News,12716 Warwick Blvd. Newport News, VA 23606. Officiating the celebration of life will be Mrs. Mary Merritt and Pastor Deborah Freeman. Our family wishes to extend our grateful appreciation and thanks to Dr. Thornton, Dr. Billings, Dr. Brown, and the rest of the staff in the SICU at Riverside Regional Medical Center for your kindness and care of Donna.
