Dora Lee Gibbs

Dora spent her whole life being the dedicated mother every child longs for. We will miss her greatly. Her life was her God and children.

Ms. Gibbs was preceded in death by her husband, Mariner Gibbs and two sons, Bobby and Johnny Batts. She is survived by two sons, Larry Batts of Sugarloaf Key, FL and Mack Batts of Southport, NC; three daughters, Linda Bateman (Del) of York County, VA, Teresa Strong of Hampton, and Shirley (Candy) Mason of Gloucester; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to Debbie Skidmore of Gloucester, VA for her care and support to our mother and sister.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, September 5, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Dora’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the graveside in Parklawn Memorial Park.
