Doris Lucille Blunt

Mrs. Blunt was born August 22, 1953, in Central Falls, Rhode Island to the late Lucille Doris Gagnon. In addition to her mother, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Winslow Blunt Sr.

She retired from the food service industry where she enjoyed many years of service to others. Doris enjoyed spending time at the beach reading a good book and countless outings with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and, of course, dear friends.

Survivors include son, Derek D Gibbons Sr. of Hampton Virginia, son, Troy R Gibbons Sr. (Neely) of Hampton Virginia, son, Season Martins (Alexis) of Newport News Virginia; Stepson Gilbert Bunt Jr. of New Jersey.

Grandchildren, Akeeba D. Gibbons (Jamarl) of Hampton, Brittney K. Michie of Newport News, Troy R. Gibbons Jr. of Newport News, Derek D. Gibbons Jr. (Orlanda) of Williamsburg, Cierra Gibbons of Newport News. (LaKeisha Outlaw) of Newport News (daughter-in-law). David Mason of Newport News, Sanaa Mason of Newport News, Aniyah Watson of Newport News.

Great-grandchildren, William W. Michie Jr. of Newport News, Mason J. Michie of Newport News, Easton C. Michie of Newport News, Kameron M. Peeples of Hampton Virginia, Jamarl H. Pepples Jr. of Hampton Virginia, Kobe A. Pepples of Hampton Virginia, Xavier Gibbons of Williamsburg, Ethan D. Gibbons of Newport News.

The family will be receiving friends for a Celebration of Life gathering on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA. 23666.
